Annette Montague annette.montague@youthsporttrust.org
Schools Director

Our work in schools focuses on supporting the network of Sports Colleges, Academies and School Sport Partnerships to maximise the impact that PE and sport can have in increasing the achievement and attainment of young people. We provide support to ensure that all young people enjoy high quality teaching and learning, and that PE and sport is used effectively to raise the overall achievement of young people and whole school standards. We also support the growth of schools and academies with a sport specialism and work with key partners to ensure this network is positioned to deliver national education agendas.

Ali Oliver alison.oliver@youthsporttrust.org
Sport Director

One of our main is to increase levels of participation, broaden opportunities for young people to lead and volunteer and enable those with talent to achieve their potential. Within England we support School Sport Partnerships and Specialist Sports Colleges to deliver the ‘five-hour sport offer’ through a range of programmes, resources and interventions. Across the UK we work with a range of partners, including corporate partners and other sports organisations, to find the most innovative ways to engage young people in high quality PE and sport.

Clare Stretch clare.stretch@youthsporttrust.org
Development Director

Our development team comprises of 25 Development Managers who are responsible for providing high level support on a regional basis to the network of 450 School Sport Partnerships in England. Targeted support is provided to help Partnerships increase the number of young people taking part in PE and school sport. As well as working regionally, our Development Managers also work in three expert teams, both nationally and in partnership, with other Youth Sport Trust colleagues, to develop innovative solutions to challenges faced by School Sport Partnerships on a day-to-day basis.

Mark Atkinson mark.atkinson@youthsporttrust.org

Our communications activity is focused on creating understanding and support for the work of the Youth Sport Trust. Through media relations, corporate communications and policy/research, we profile the impact and outcomes of high quality PE and school sport for young people. We promote the work of Sport Colleges and School Sport Partnerships through the media, our range of publications and our website. The communications strategy is underpinned by an extensive research programme which provides a strong base to develop new initiatives and influence public policy.
